Things in summer classes are going well. I finished my first jewelry project. It was creating and using reticulation silver. I made a brain coral pendent and cast some sea creatures to surround it. The cast pieces are ancient bronze. I added a patina to the silver and will create an earring set to match the necklace.

the next project will be Viking chain weave and a bezel stone setting.

In sculpture, I have my wax ready for casting. It will be aluminum and should be ready to cast late next week. I’ve started the second project which is a reductive wood sculpture. The idea behind it is something we find absurd, ironic or odd.
